Slowly a new version of the Zooot Buddy Zone is getting completed. Don't know if should pop the cork open yet but so far it seems like everything is working as specified. Knock on wood (or in my case in the titanium body of my outdated G4 PowerBook). Still open on my list: to get ping.fm to work, to activate the forums, to activate the basic webmail again ... and then to clone this master site to the production sites. Still much to do. Too much maybe to open this bottle after all.

The old PowerBook G4 has done a good job but it has become way too unreliable to be of further use. Its all-to-frequent system crashes finally wore out my patience with this otherwise very nice notebook.
Now as my new Apple 17" PowerBook Pro is just days away I fondly remember the long nights when I sat on the couch setting up and coding for hours to get the Zooot network going. Yes that's right: all the websites and most of the articles were created on this old machine.
The G4 will now go back into the company storage to await its new user. I hope it will be treated with respect.
